Lovely place with room for improvement.
Aspectos positivos: I liked the space, the high ceilings, the kitchen facilities with all mod cons, utensils, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The beds in the main 2 bedrooms were very comfortable. The building itself is lovely, big airy windows everywhere, plenty of good storage space, the long dining table was very convenient, most of the furniture was okay, many really nice decor touches. Quarky and unique place. Specially, I liked the care and attention of the staff. We had a nice enough stay overall.
Aspectos negativos: The balconies have some old plant pots that have nothing planted or bits of dead stuff. Very unsightly. They looked uncared for, messy. Either you keep well looked after real plants, fake plants or remove those pots altogether. A house that accommodates a big group of people has insufficient shower facilities, specially as the 2 full shower rooms are ensuite to two bedrooms, not in a communal area. You have at least space for 4 other guests who would intrude in the privacy of others if they want to have a shower. That flat needs to have an extra shower facility, for that reason alone I wouldn't go back with more than 2 couples and possibly kids. Shower facilities are not convenient for a group of adults. I'd also say that only one television set for potentially up to 10 guest is extremely poor, most people do have their own phones with streaming services, but as an accommodation place I'd prefer to have a television set in each bedroom too. The small room with the bunk beds is extremely bare, not even a table to put a glass of water upon. Lack of a bin for recyclables in the property. In the kitchen theres only one rubbish can and only one bin liner which forced us to mix rubbish. Initially we had a futon in the mezzanine area that was very uneven and bumpy. We reported it and it was immediately sorted, however, the initial futon shouldn't have been offered as a place to sleep on in the first place. The staff were extremely helpful and kind about it though. Another suggestion is that it'd be very nice to know a bit of history about the building, some information on it would be very interesting. Although there's a sign there saying that if local information is needed it can be provided, I'd have preferred to have had the information already there. A little directory would be extremely helpful.
