Aspectos positivos: Absolutely amazing place to stay at, don’t skip this!

Aspectos positivos: The place is beautiful, just 50m from the beach and many places to chill outside in the garden. The shared bathrooms are basic but clean and you feel like you are showering in the jungle. From the moment you arrive the hosts make you feel like you are at home. Alex prepared an amazing family dinner with fresh fish and a campfire. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Special place to stay on the beach.

Aspectos positivos: Max and Alex are very special hosts and have created a beautiful chilled out hostel on the beach. Watch the sunrise over the ocean, relax in hammocks, make a fire and watch the stars.

The best place we stayed in Mexico!

Aspectos positivos: Great location in Chacahua. The hostel has a really friendly and relaxed vibes. Alex and Max are the best hosts, making you feel at home and going out their way to make sure you have a nice time.

Aspectos positivos: Max and Alex treated me as a good friend, I felt so welcome! The room ways great, bigger than expected and had a mosquito Net. Its all build on sand, right at the beach and you can see the sea from the upper rooms. Its pretty basic but this is totally the charme. I loved staying here! Chacahua is a very special place and this hostal captures the essence of it perfectly.

Aspectos positivos: Have you ever dreamed, as a child, of living in a beach hut with your friends? Surfing together, napping in hammocks, going fishing and eating the fish you caught the very same day? Well, they did it. This is the perfect place to make your childhood dreams come true. Max and Alex are incredible hosts. They immediately made me feel part of their group of friends in Chacahua. It feels more like being welcomed into a friend’s home than staying in a hostel — and it’s so much better that way. They really take care of everything. We share meals like a family, they organize activities, give you advice on surfboards, and cheer you on in the waves. And the place itself is simply stunning, with an unforgettable sunrise. I’m leaving with a heavy heart. If you go to Chacahua, don’t miss this place. And if you’re not planning to go — well, you should.

Aspectos negativos: I should have extended my stay

Aspectos positivos: I had a great time at Onahu Hostel! Max and Alex are super welcoming and make you feel included. My room was great, I slept well in the bed and enjoyed the garden a lot, reading in the hammocks etc. We went surfing together and did the Bioluminescence tour. We ate together several times and Max and Alex were very generous! Estrella, the dog, is super kind and enjoys cuddles ;) Already excited to come back - hopefully sooner than later!

Aspectos negativos: Nothing that could have been better. The rooms are simple but have everything I needed and are as described in Onahu's description!

Aspectos positivos: Loved staying in Onahu, highly recommend, it was the best place I stayed during they whole month I was travelling in Mexico. The main reason I loved this place so much as due to the welcoming energy of Max and Alex, who welcomed me and made me feel super welcome and comfortable. The facilities they put in place are simple but very nice and functional. The palm trees and garden is nice a peaceful. I highly recommend staying here and renting the top room. They view of the sun rise is just amazing, something very special.

Aspectos negativos: The only thing I would improve is the fridge being a bit cleaner. But I know that they are working on improving the facilites in the kitchen, they had only been open one month when I visited so things were being put in place.

Amazing place!

Aspectos positivos: Alex and Max were the best hosts. They put a lot of love into this place and make sure your stay will be as comfortable as possible. The place is nice and quiet, but still very social. Location is good as well. Make sure you book in advance though, because the dorm is often already booked out at least two days before. Also shoutout to Estrella, the hostel dog, who will gladly accompany you to all your excursions.

Aspectos negativos: It can get a little hot at night in the dorm room. That didn't really bother me too much though.

Aspectos positivos: Wunderbares Hostel/ Cabaña am Strand. Palmen, Hängematten, was will man mehr... Nichts für Leute die keinen Sand mögen, und die Ausstattung ist sehr basic, aber du bist ja da um zu surfen oder einfach das Meer und die Wellen zu genießen!
