Aspectos positivos: La familia que está a cargo es muy amable. El desayuno exquisito. El lugar es realmente muy lindo.

Aspectos negativos: Lo único que marcaría es la ducha que no tiene buena presión.

Aspectos positivos: Todo excelente, muy limpio don Demetrio y su esposa muy serviciales a todo momento , el desayuno delicioso, si vas en temporada alta te lo full recomiendo estás a 45 minutos en carro de Oaxaca pero vale la pena, estás aislado del ruido y tráfico , el pueblo es muy bonito , justo a la salida tienes un tour de mezcal , nada a decir todo fue excelente , volvería otra vez , tal vez el único punto negativo la señal de telefonía es muy escasa , nada más por lo demás todo súper excelente

Authentic stay with traditional carpet weaver family

Aspectos positivos: Very nice, clean and quiet room. Super good breakfast (Mexican and yoghurt + granola). Good Wifi. The whole estate is in extremely good shape and beautifully built. The hosts were super friendly and we felt very welcome from start to finish. The hosts are a family of weavers which perform the craft of carpet weaving. You'll see lots of their work on display and you can also buy the beautiful pieces. We could park our rental car on a dedicated parking spot right in front of the estate. The drive to Hierve al Agua was roughly an hour. Can highly recommend the place and would definitely stay there again.

Aspectos negativos: We didn't see any shops or restaurants close by so we took the car to the village (probably around 3km). There you have good options to eat.

Aspectos positivos: One of the best places I have ever stayed. Our host was incredibly helpful with arranging pickup from airport, even helping with a punctured wheelchair tyre. The property is very safe and peaceful, the rooms are really comfortable and clean, nicely decorated with really good bathroom facilities. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the highlight was of course learning about traditional weaving and natural dyes. Location is great, nice and quiet but can catch a moto taxi into the main village very easily from right outside.

A good base for multiple day weaving shoppers or students

Aspectos positivos: The location on the way into the small weaving village of Teotitlan was very good. Even better is that a family of weavers own and operate the B&B. The father who is known for not only his weaving skills (exemplified by the birds in his rugs) but also for his expertise with natural dyes, was willing to share his knowledge as was his son who weaves some interesting modernistic rug designs. The same son picked us up at the airport and drove us to Oaxaca City for the balance of our stay in the area. He also organized and took us to an artisanal mescal distillery in a nearby town to see the production process as well as sample various mescals, including the less available mescals produced from wild agave pinas.

Aspectos negativos: For someone there for more days to learn even more advanced weaving skills, the kitchenette in the suite might lack a few items if cooking is planned. The village is a working village of reputedly 400 weaving families. The restaurants are not plentiful but there is a daily(?) market. However, the family is very accommodating. Plus a nice breakfast is included and there is a decent restaurant within walking distance. Tuk-tuks are widely available and inexpensive for those who do not wish to walk.

Aspectos positivos: The space is stunning, with beautiful views of the mountains from the terrace. It’s close to the main center of the village by collectivo. There are many thoughtful details to appreciate and you can admire the beautiful weaving art in the downstairs. We loved staying in the suite to have access to the kitchen. The family is wonderful and attentive to the needs of their guests. We will definitely return!

Aspectos positivos: Nice Hacienda style hotel, clean and comfortable. Lovely outdoor patio areas and adequate breakfast.

Aspectos negativos: Breakfast was buffet style and nothing was kept hot. Coffee ran out and was not refilled.
